Ahead of the 2015 general election, the Ekiti State governor-elect, Mr. Ayo Fayose has said that nothing  will  stop the return of President Goodluck Jonathan to the presidency.
Fayose stated this yesterday in Lagos at a victory rally organised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to celebrate his victory in just concluded Ekiti State governorship election.
The rally was attended by the Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musilu Obanikoro, chairman of the PDP in Lagos State, the Zonal chairman of the party, Chief Ishola Filani,the chairman, Mobilization Committe, South West PDP, Prince Kashamu Buruji and other party supporters.
He said those blackmailing President Jonathan are wasting their time, noting that the PDP has both people and the strategy to win the 2015 general election.
While thanking the members of Lagos PDP for the support during the election, Fayose said his victory has showed that PDP can reclaim the South-West.
However, he called on the leadership of the party in the zone to guide against imposition, stating that there are enough materials in the South west to be governors.
“ Nothing will  stop Jonathan in 2015. Those going about blackmailing Jonathan are wasting their time. We have the strategy. We have the people. We have done it before. We will do it again. We are going to get Lagos.”
On his part, Obanikoro debunked the allegation that he used his position to intimidate voters in Ekiti.
He stated that the election as free and fair, adding that the PDP will win the forthcoming Osun State governorship election because the people of South West have known the truth.
Obanikoro implored Nigerians to join hand with the Federal Government in the fight against terrorism irrespective of their political persuasions. He pointed out that insurgents do not care whether anyone belongs to the PDP or All Progressive Congress(APC) but see all Nigerians as enemies.
Speaking at the rally, the chairman of the party in the South West, Filani expressed delight over the party’s victory in Ekiti.
He implored the party members across the South West to replicate the Ekiti feat in Osun and other South West states.
Also, the chairman Lagos PDP, Mr.  Shelle congratulated Fayose on his victory, stating that it is remarkable that  the Ekiti governor-elect won all the 16 local government areas in Ekiti State.
He said the party will win Lagos same way.
“We are going to win Lagos 20\20, the way Fayose won Ekiti 16\16,” Shelle said.
In their separate speeches PDP governorship aspirants in 2015 gubernatorial election in the state said the victory of Fayose in the last Ekiti State gubernatorial poll is a signal to the people of Lagos State to get ready for a PDP government in the state.
