Youths endorse gov’s sack

A group, Concerned Adamawa State Youths has supported the ongoing investigation initiated by the Adamawa State House of Assembly, which led to the constitution of a panel to examine the allegations of gross misconduct against the governor and his deputy.
The group in a communiqué jointly signed by Dunuba H. Daniel, Leader  Leneke and Yusuf U. Ngenle, heads of the various youths groups, said it had carefully followed the occurrences in the state to know that the lawmakers were out to salvage the state. The youths publicly declare
d their support for the removal of both Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy over allegations of gross misconducts levelled against them by the state legislatures.
They urged the seven-man probe panel that commenced its public hearing yesterday, to dispassionately perform its duties as people who will not only report back to human beings but also to God Almighty.
The position of the youths followed a similar posture two weeks  ago ,when leaders of thought in the state under the umbrella of Elders and Stakeholders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party endorsed the lawmakers action to serve Nyako and his deputy with impeachment notice, which they expected would lead to their removal from office.
The youths group noted that the removal  of the governor and his deputy would not only bring an end to the looting of the state treasury, but bring about the breathe of fresh air into a “state synonymous with backwardness, under-development and impurity”.
