Students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, formerly Anambra

memory of their fallen colleague, Uzoigwe Stanley Onyekachi, allegedly

Uzoigwe, from Orlu, Imo State, was shot dead by suspected cultists,
who attacked him in a bar close to the campus. He was in 500 level,
Mechanical Engineering and served as an adviser to the former Students’
Union President before his tragic death.
Tears flowed like river, as other students held a memorial
procession, denouncing the tragic incident that led to his death. The

was friendly and always lively. Everybody loved him in the department
because he was nice starting from our year one to this final stage,” he
said.

and respectful strudents. Stanley’s death is a sad news for us. We are
not happy with the death of this friendly colleague. Students are
grieved because he was a good colleague,” he said.
Akubueze further advised the students to desist from any act of cultism. Rather, he fellow students to seek God’s protection.
The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mrs Chinwe Nnedum,
