One of the West African countries that has so far escaped the ebola epidemic is Mali. The country's medical ethics body has cleared the way for 40 healthy adults to take part in a high-speed international vaccine trial. Sixty volunteers are also being sought in Oxford, in the United Kingdom, and 40 in The Gambia.
