Rain wreaks havoc in Delta
Scores of buildings and valuables were destroyed yesterday by torrential rains that swept across several communities in parts of Delta State. The downpour, which started early in the morning left no one in doubt of an imminent  disaster due to ceaseless thunderstorm that ruled the period.
Investigation revealed that the rooftops of no fewer than 20 houses were blown-off even as many persons were trapped in their houses.
According to unconfirmed report, an unidentified elderly woman and her grandchild drowned at neighbouring Agbarho community just as two other children were saved from being swept away by flood at Effurun.
Following the downpour that lasted several hours in many areas including Agbarho, Warri metropolis and Aladja, commercial motorists  could not go out for their daily
