I've Not Been Asked To Go On Leave - Jega

by AIT INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega has denied media reports that he has been asked to proceed on terminal leave in March ahead of his due retirement in June. Speaking through his media aide, Kayode Idowu, Professor Jega described the reports as a malicious propaganda by some politicians to pre-empt him. The INEC boss however cautions against dragging the reputation of the office he occupies into the mud and called on Nigerian politicians to get busy with making the forthcoming election a credible, free and fair one. Jega restated the commission’s committing to conducting a credible election and advised all registered voters yet to collect their permanent voter cards to do so within the new extended timeline. - See more at: http://www.aitonline.tv/post-i_ve_not_been_asked_to_go_on_leave___jega#sthash.MQ7GIRGZ.dpuf
