2015: Enugu spiritualist begins prayers, fasting for Chime, Jonathan

threatens to curse opponents
Every Sunday, members of the Divine Faith Ministries International situated at Abakpa Nike, Enugu look up to prophetic messages from their Spiritual Director, Brother Emma Akpata. The spiritualist had in the past made accurate predictions to the admiration of the members of his ministry. But last week, he did not only make predictions, he also announced that his ministry has adopted and endorsed President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for re-election and Governor Sullivan Chime for the Enugu West Senatorial seat in the 2015 general elections. His prediction came before the PDP caucus and governors endorsed Jonathan late last week.
Shortly after the ministration where he made the declaration, he told Oriental News in a brief chat that already he has inaugurated a prayer group specifically dedicated to conduct fasting and prayers for the “two great leaders” until they are sworn in on May 29, 2015.
He said that he was aware of those who are planning evil against the duo of Jonathan, Chime and their friends, pointing out that they have already resorted to writing frivolous petitions and heating up the polity unnecessarily.
He warned “those evil-minded people to desist from doing so or else I will pronounce a curse on them publicly,” saying that the curses if pronounced could never be reversed.
Akpata claimed that he has never pronounced anything he was not sure of as he made reference to the Book of Kings where Elisha cursed 20 young fellows who were mocking him because of his bald head and they were instantly devoured by lions.
“Such spiritual powers are still in existence and potent too,” he said.
He, therefore, condemned the evil practiced by some Nigerians whose stock-in-trade, he said, was to pull down their fellow Nigerians to ensure that the people lose the good things coming their way as they see them as their imagined and presumed opponents.
Brother Akpata condemned such practice, saying it was borne out of envy and jealousy even as he pointed out that he has declared total war against such people.
He promised that very soon the result of such evil machinations would be let open and the people would know who their enemies are.
He regretted that as soon as a new political arrangement was about to take place evil-minded politicians would start to send frivolous write-ups both to security agents and the newspapers to paint good aspirants black.
He assured that those who indulge in these malicious tendencies are only digging their graves, promising to use his last breath to ensure that evil people meet their waterloo.
Akpata also pledged continue to pursue them even after the general elections until they leave the face of the earth tragically.
He urged President Jonathan to go to sleep on the support of Governor Chime and the Enugu State people as their supports are divinely assured.
“When the chips are down, the President will find out that Enugu State will come top both in the primaries and the main elections. I saw in a vision where the entire South East governors gave President Goodluck Jonathan overwhelming support. I commended Governors, Sullivan Chime, Governor of Enugu State, Willy Obiano of Anambra State, Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, Governor Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State, Senator Liyel Imoke Governor of Cross River State and Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State for supporting the second tenure bid of the President,” he stressed.
He told Oriental News that he would continue to pray for all the governors who are supporting the second tenure bid of President Jonathan even as he appealed to Nigerians to support the president in 2015.
The spiritual director also appealed to the President and the National Assembly members to expedite action on the implementation of the report of the National Conference, especially as it affects the creation of states.
“Those states recommended for creation to off-set the already disparity in the South East (Adada) and other geo-political zones, should first be created before the February 2015 general elections and others two years thereafter.
“If this is done it will give confidence to Nigerians that the rest of the states recommended by the National Conference will surely be created. The experiences to be gained in that exercise will guide in the creation of the rest of the states as recommended by the National Conference,” he said.
He promised to continue to pray for the nation and provide it with prophetic messages to guide the leaders, saying that a nation perishes for lack of vision.
He said that God would not forgive him if he failed to use his spiritual gifts for the benefit of the country in which he was born.
Akpata urged President Jonathan and Governor Chime not to be deterred by the acts of detractors, but to continue in their good works which speak for them.
