Popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, yesterday said the federal government has failed in its responsibility of protecting lives and property of citizens.
He
spoke in Bauchi at a special prayer session for the repose of souls of
victims of the recent Kano mosque bombing. He described those who died
in the blast as martyrs and prayed for the quick recovery of those
injured.
While commiserating with the Emir of Kano, the government and people of the state, stressing the need for the citizens to protect themselves against enemies since government has failed to protect them.
“We heard that some politicians are responsible for escalating senseless killings in the North so that there will be insecurity in the country in order not to conduct the 2015 elections so that theycan continue in power, the killings and insecurity in the North relate with their actions, May Allah not to give them what they want,” he said.
