Workers resume in Makurdi after strike

Following the suspension of the six day strike by the organized Labour last Tuesday, the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency (BENSESA) yesterday commenced the removal of refuse from the streets of Makurdi.
When our correspondent moved round the town, staff of the Agency were seen collecting refuse which had become common place in the state capital since the commencement of the strike by NLC, from the various trash can in the state.
Speaking with Daily Sun at the refuse dump close to the High Level Round About, General Manager of BENSESA, Mr. Ediga Akpa disvlosed that a task force had already been set up to ensure the clean up of he state with immediate effect.
While positing that the strike had shown that BENSESA had always lived up to its expectation of ensuring a clean environment for the Benue people, Akpa explained that just within six days of workers strike, the state had become so dirty.
