Ebola: CIV in dilemma over venue for Sierra Leone clash

With less than 10 days away from Cote D’Ivoire’s match against Sierra Leone in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the venue for the encounter is yet to be arranged, according to the country’s football federation.
On Tuesday, the body said talks were underway to host the game in a neutral venue, but that no agreement had been reached.
Last week, the Ivorian government imposed a ban on the hosting of all sporting activities in the country due to threats of  the Ebola disease, and said hosting the game in a country hit by the virus was too risky for locals.
The Ivorian FA said several proposals of an eventual venue were on the table and that ongoing negotiations involving the Ivorian government, CAF and the Sierra Leonean Football Association could yield a solution.
Both teams from Group C had been scheduled to face off against each other on September 6 in the Ivorian commercial capital, Abidjan.
