Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has been acquitted of murder
charges in his retrial Saturday. In 2012, Mubarak was sentenced to life
in prison, but last year an appeals court overturned that sentence on
technical grounds and ordered a retrial. He was also cleared of a
corruption charge involving gas exports to Israel. However he is still
serving a three-year sentence for embezzling public funds.
