Former governor of Enugu State, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, has said Nsukka zone will pro­duce the governor of the state in 2015. Nwodo, also a former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said Nsukka has all it takes to succeed Governor Sullivan Chime.
“That nobody is talking does not mean nothing is done. Nsukka will pro­duce the governor in 2015. There is no doubt about it, but the problem we are battling with is to bring out someone who will rep­resent Enugu State and not Nsukka. “We want to give Enugu State someone that can outwork the present gov­ernor; we have them in Nsukka. We will do our best to give Enugu State the people’s governor and not a tyrant,” he said.
Nwodo also affirmed that the 2015 presidential election had been con­cluded, saying President Goodluck Jonathan had no opposition.
His words: “President Jonathan has no opposi­tion in 2015 presidential election. No gainsaying he will win because the elec­tion has been concluded.”
He, however, denied nursing any senatorial am­bition although the major­ity of the people of Enugu North Senatorial zone wanted him to run in 2015.
