The politician’s son died Friday, November 14, from cancer in one of Enugu private hospitals, Punch recalls. Ifeanyichukwu, who was himself a medical doctor, had been previously treated in the United States.
According to CKN Nigeria, several days after the development the grieving father shared his opinion on why he had lost his son.
The patient was allegedly asked to stay longer in the US for treatment, however he missed his home country and decided to return.
In Nigeria he started developing leg pain and was taken to a consultant oncologist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, where the doctor made a wrong move, the father said.
“My son had been sick for five months before I knew about it and was planning to go to India before we took him to USA. He was given visa for two years, because the cancer was at stage four, but they treated him.
