*detain the widows in Government House, as his thugs smash cameras of journalists
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has been accused of ordering APC thugs and his security details to beat up protesting widows at Withedral road in Owerri on Tuesday.
The widows trooped out to protest an unguarded statement by the outgoing Imo State governor, that the Minister of State for Education, Prof Viola Onwuliri killed her husband. The husband of the minister died in the ill-fated Dana Air Crash in 2012.
The Government House security details deployed by Okorocha unleash tear gas on the helpless women while the APC thugs physically molested them.
An eye-witness told Scan News that some of the protesting women were arrested and detained in the Government House, Owerri.
It was gathered that journalists were not spared by the Okorocha thugs who beat them and seized their cameras and phones.
Okorocha who thrives on propaganda does not tolerate criticisms. But, for the strong PDP presence in Imo State, Okorocha would have driven his opponents out of the state using his very violent thugs.
