The Departement of State Service(DSS) has summoned notable APC chieftain and national vice chairman of the pro-North Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Senator Joseph Waku, to report at its headquarters in Abuja for questioning.
Although no reason was given for Waku’s summon, there are fears that it might not be unconnected with his recent interview published in the last edition Sunday Sun.
Senator Waku in the interview did a review of the political environment and warned that President Goodluck Jonathan should be stopped in the 2015 elections even as he alleged that the Boko Haram insurgency might be a creation of the Federal Government. Saturday Sun learnt that the operatives of the DSS had on August 7, 2014 stormed Waku’s room at Celebrity Hotel, Osogbo, Osun State and invited him for interrogation. Minutes later, the same set of DSS operatives was said to have returned and told him that he should hold on and await a future invitation. Waku was amongst APC chieftains who relocated to Osun state ahead of the just concluded governoship election in the state.
