I’ll repeat Lagos wonders in Adamawa–Marwa

Says Adamawa comatose after Nyako
Former Military Administrator of Lagos and Borno states, Buba Marwa, has said the seven years rule of the impeached Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako has left the state in comatose. He has therefore, vowed to repeat the successes he recorded in Lagos and Borno states as military administrator, starting with free education as well as checking insurgency and other security challenges based on his military background.Marwa, who was in the State House to meet with Vice President Namadi Sambo, told State House correspondents that he was the best candidate to occupy the Adamawa State Government House. Nyako, was impeached last month by the State House of Assembly on allegations of corruption. He has threatened to take his case to court.
Marwa said his remarkable achievements as military administrator would not only be replicated in Adamawa State, but the number of projects would double if not surpassed in Adamawa.
Marwa, who was also a former Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, said: “I am running in the next election by the grace of God.”
Asked if he had gotten a waiver since he returned recently to  the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressives Congress (APC), he said: “Yes, and I think that is a concluded business.
PDP is looking for good men who will win elections and I am one of them by the grace of God.
“Adamawa State is in comatose state after Nyako’s administration. It is half-dead and it needs a Marwa to resuscitate it and bring it back to where it belongs.”
On his planned programmes for the state, Marwa said: “Free education, free healthcare, infrastructure, the roads that I did in Lagos like 700, we will double it in Adamawa if not more by the grace of God.
“On water supply, the most difficult area in the country is Borno State, I was governor there and I did over 1,000 boreholes and wells. I will improve the agriculture sector  and create job for the youths. We will work for the PDP and the people.” On how he intends to confront the security challenges in Adamawa, he said: “It is my job as you know.”
