nigeria dumps pro-Palestinian stance and abstains during UN vote in support of Israel
NIGERIA has abandoned its pro-Palestinian policy for the first time ever and adopted a pro-Israeli stance by abstained from voting on a crucial United Nations Security Council resolution that would have ended Israel’s presence in the occupied territories by 2017.
Traditionally, Nigeria has always voted in support of Palestinian positions whenever the Occupied Territories have been debated at the United Nations (UN) and has always backed a two-state solution. However, on Tuesday, the Nigerian permanent representative to the UN abstained from voting on a crucial resolution that would have ended Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip by 2017.

MY TAKE<> nigeria as a republic has taking a New stand against terrorism, ethnicity and religious bigotry. We must grow beyond sentiments and do what is Right. In the midst of her Arab neighbours, Israel has a Right to live in her God-given Land. If the Arabs feel that the statehood of Israel is the only problem they have, then they do not have any problem yet because Israel is yet to occupy all the Territories God promised Abraham their ancestor. Israel's Land boundary extends from Mediterranean Sea to River Euphrates. That means, they are yet to occupy all their territories and yet the Arabs are complaining. So I salute GEJ for taking a new stand against evil and embracing the Lord's people Israel………..LONG LIVE ISRAEL….LONG LIVE BIAFRA
