A woman was saved thanks to her Facebook friends.
Susann Stacy of Kentucky, was beaten by her husband before he ripped out the phone from the wall so she could not call for help.
The quick thinking woman posted a bloody selfie on Facebook, and begged for help online.
Stacy told police in Leslie County, that she had no other option but to plead for help from her Facebook friends because she had no cell phone service and no working home phone, but she did have a WIFI connection to the Internet.
Her Facebook friends, who saw the post, called the sheriff’s department.
Stacy’s nightmare began when her husband heard her in the bathroom talking to another man.
When she came out of the bathroom, her angry husband pistol whipped her and tore the phone out of the wall so she couldn’t call 911.
In the selfie, Stacy was seen with several lacerations to the head.
By the time deputies got to Stacy’s house, her husband, Donnie Stacy, had already left.
Officers found the handgun he used to beat his wife under a tire swing that the couple’s son plays on.
Officers found Donnie Stacy nearby, and he was arrested.
He is facing charges of Domestic violence.
