WE’LL NOT ALLOW PDP TO RIG 2015 ELECTIONS, SAYS - BUHARI.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for February election, General Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, disclosed that his party would ensure that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was not given any chance to rig the election.
The Chief of Staff to General Buhari, Colonel Hamid Ali (retd), who represented him at a meeting with Buhari Support Groups, said “we will ensure that our supporters send text of the results to us on the election day. We will make sure the PDP is not allowed to rig. We must shine our eyes.”
To this end, he denied media reports that some Arab countries were donating money to his campaign ahead the elections, saying “It is not true. I am part of it, I am in the centre of it and I don’t know of any Arab man that has spoken to us, so, it is untrue, it is false.”
Rather, he said the organisation, through its fund-raising efforts, tagged: “Buhari Crowding Funding Initiative,” has been able to raise a total sum of N119 million.
He declared that the sum of N54 million was realised as of December 24, 2014, while an additional N64,702,265.36 was contributed to the fund as of Wednesday.
He further said the intention of the interactive session was to examine the challenges being encountered by the support groups in the fields and how best to synergise to achieve their target of installing an APC government at the centre.
This was as Buhari reasoned that security operatives sent by the PDP to intimidate electorate in Ekiti State during the gubernatorial election should have been sent to rescue the Chibok girls arrested several months back.
Buhari, who made the assertion while kicking off his campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, said the PDP-led government in the country was not doing enough in tackling insurgency in the country, but was looking for power to the detriment of the people.
Presenting the presidential candidate of the party to the people of Akwa Ibom, the party chairman, Chief John Oyegun, noted that he was happy to have worked with General Buhari many years ago, describing him as a forthright man in all ramifications.
