Yemi Osinbajo goes with some questionable prefixes to his name which include Pastor and Professor. I am aware that becoming a Professor in Nigeria is as easy as being able to photocopy some intellectual works from some more refined academics, remove some was and add some is, then submit same as your paper. Some lecturers even go as low as stealing the term papers of their students and convert them into their works. Belonging to the same confraternity with those that sway things or having some good relationship with your Vice-chancellor will fetch you that professorial title faster than cracking your head and burning out the midnight candles to turn up researches that are worthwhile. The NUC's recent foolishness which makes it compulsory for you to have had a PHD for specified number of years, before you can be considered for professorship, further ridicules that formally revered title. PHD is now being picked up by the best guy men and the wealthiest idiots. Yemi Osinbajo says he is a Professor, I agree, but I seriously doubt if Osinbajo really thinks like a Professor should, because he doesn't act like one. Forget the black market purchased court victories he secured for his oga, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Beyond every other thing, education is supposed to help build one's self esteem to the point where you can decide to go to bed on an empty stomach than agree to bow before certain idiots. Osinbajo makes going to school a waste of time by the class of people he chooses to serve and even leak their boots. The other time, a picture was shown where he was seen serving as Tinubu's porter when the latter returned from one of his secret medical trips abroad. Osinbajo was actually the one helping Tinubu to hold his phones, and possibly picking his calls before allowing anyone to speak to his oga. A professor should know the difference between humility and stupid subservience. A professor who cannot be proud enough to reject certain lowly assignments should have even his B.A withdrawn, because you are a misfit in the academic cult. That is what I think about Osinbajo's professorship.
A Pastor is supposed to be the clearest model of morality and integrity, but when someone who is as highly placed as being the second in command to one of the most patronized pentecostal churches in Nigeria feels comfortable associating with individuals whose moral fiber is so weak that it can't hold the bluntest pin, then that Pastor's pastorship needs to be investigated. Jesus Christ should serve as a model for all those who seek to become Pastors, and we have instances during his lifetime as a human, when he had to reject certain individuals and some positions because of his conviction that they were not ready to repent of their sins. Christ dined with the tax collectors and other sinners because they had shown a genuine intention to repent of their sins, but when he was to be crowned King, he ran away because he did not want to be corrupted by the lies and wickedness of the Pharisees. Yemi Osinbajo may be forgiven for accepting to be a running mate to General Buhari, because at least as at the time of his acceptance, Buhari's well crafted lie of being incorruptible was still intact. However, with the credible revelations and controversies that have trailed his claimed academic qualifications and his handling of the PTF, Osinbajo should have withdrawn from serving as his running mate, in order to preserve his own name and the name of the Church he represents. The Bible makes it clear that light and darkness do not have any relationship.
Yemi Osinbajo may be a good Professor and even a worthy Pastor, but he does not own himself. His liberty has been seriously encroached upon by those lower than him in all ramifications. It is unfortunate that a Professor of Osinbajo's standing has brought himself to the lowly level of having to shine the shoes of school dropouts and near illiterates in his desperation for political power and relevance. It is more unfortunate that this Professor and Pastor is only a puppet to some of Nigeria's most hated criminals.
To Osibanjo, I can only say; Prof, free thyself.
