Lamido warns politicians against recruiting youths as thugs

Lamido warns politicians against recruiting youths as thugs

Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has warned Nigerian politicians to desist from luring the youths into political brigandage just because of their selfish motives.
Lamido stated this during a media parley at the Government House yesterday.
He said it was rather unfortunate that the political actors were using them as political machinery, which he said was dangerous for the survival of the nation.
Lamido opined that the survival of any nation depended on the future of its youths who were stakeholders in every development move.
Commenting on the development projects executed by his administration, Lamido said despite the huge amount expended on  the multi-billion naira projects in the state, he had not gone out of his way to borrow money from anybody in the country or abroad.
According to him, though the state government had difficulties in meeting some of its obligations because of the commitment, Jigawa had not borrowed a single kobo from anywhere to execute any of the projects in the state.
