Abducted girls: Pro-govt group clashes with BringBackOurGirls protesters

Abducted girls: Pro-govt group clashes with BringBackOurGirls protesters

The protest over the abducted female students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok in Borno State, yesterday degenerated into fisticuffs as pro-government and the Oby Ezekwesili led BringBackOurGirls clashed in Abuja.
But for the quick intervention of security agents, the clash would have turned bloody. Both camps operated at the Unity Fountain behind Nicon Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The group,  known as United Coalition Against Terrorism, believed to have the sympathy of the government took the fight to the doorstep of the BringBackOurGirls.
Members of the group were clad in a red Tshirt.
The problem started when members of the United Coalition Against Terrorism took over the portion where BringBackOurGirls group met yesterday. Some boys among them dangled axe and other dangerous weapons. They chased members of the BringbackOurGirls around, insisting that they must leave the Unity Fountain.
They destroyed and flung off plastic chairs belonging to the BringBackOurGirls group. They were alleged to have also destroyed some cameras belonging to some individuals at the venue.
