Obi lauds Jonathan over WEF
Former Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi has commended President Goodluck Jonathan on the successful hosting of World Economic Forum on Africa that ended yesterday in Abuja.
Speaking to newsmen at the dinner hosted by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday night at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Mr. Obi said it was another demonstration of the commitment of the president to strengthening the economy of Nigeria that the country played host to the critical forum, being the first in West Africa.
Obi, who said he was looking forward to the benefits the country would drive from hosting the world, reiterated his belief that Africa, especially Nigeria, remained the first investment destination at the moment.
Commenting on the protracted Chibok crisis, Obi said that now was the time for the country to offer President Goodluck Jonathan all the necessary supports in his resolve to fight terrorism in the country.
He lauded him on the collaboration of Nigeria with the international community over terrorism, saying that the menace needed working together among nations of the world especially at this critical time.
