12 wounded in Beirut bomb blast

The Lebanese police confirmed on Tuesday in Beirut, that 12 people were wounded shortly after midnight when a car bomb exploded at the southern part of Beirut.
They said the blast took place near the Chatilla-Tayouneh square at the entrance of Beirut’s southern suburbs, a hotbed of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah.
The police said the explosion was close to a Lebanese army checkpoint and a cafe where football fans were watching a match between Brazil and Cameroon.
The police said that human flesh was found near the exploded car indicating that a suicide bomber might have carried out the attack.
The blast came three days after a suicide bomber blew himself up near a police checkpoint in eastern Lebanon, killing one policeman and wounding dozens other people.
