According to the notice made available to the Press, the group states that at no time did the people of Orlu zone gather to make Senator Uzodinma their leader. Also they opinned that a serving Senator has never acted in the capcity as a political leader and let alone a contestant as being rumored.
The group maintained that Senator Uzodinma preaches hatred in the zone, and that disqualifies him from holding such position as political leader of the most populous zone in Imo State. Moreover, they called on those still believing in one man leadership to beware.
Equally, the Renaissance group reminded Senator Uzodinma that his election in 2011 was an Orlu project, a public struggle that was never hinged on party interest and wondered why the senator believed this time that he must nominate his successor. This position according to the group remains an abnormality in our democratic sojourn and vowed to thwart same as the people must decide who represent them in 2015.
