Ex-FRSC boss backs Nyako’s impeachment

Former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), General Anthony Hannaniya, has said that the impeachment of Adamawa State governor, Murtala Nyako, would be a good omen for Adamawa people.
Hannaniya, who spoke with Daily Sun, said Nyako’s impeachment was not a matter of witch-hunt, saying evidences were there to justify his impeachment.
He said it was up to Nyako to deny the evidences, even as he queried why Nyako was running away from accepting his fate.
Hannaniya absolved the Adamawa Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in Abuja of the allegation of sponsoring the impeachment move, adding that Nyako was always happy to find a scapegoat.
Hannaniya, however, said he was happy that Nyako was being impeached, saying it was long overdue.
“I am happy that he is being impeached. It is long overdue. I am happy because he has been a bad leader,” Hannaniya said.
On the possible chaos Nyako’s impeachment might cause in the state, Hannaniya said that people should not be carried away by Nyako’s antics.
“Everybody is happy that he is being impeached. Don’t be carried away by his antics. People of Adamawa State are very happy and they are eager that the man should be impeached,” he added.
