#BRINGBACKOURGIRLS DEBUNKS REPORTS OF CHIBOK GIRLS’ INVOLVEMENT IN SUICIDE BOMBINGS’

The BringBackOurGirls movement has debunked reports that some of the abducted Chibok school girls might have been used in suicide bombings in Kano and other parts of the north Boko Haram.

It said there was no clear evidence linking the girls to any suicide activities.

The movement added that the girls were ‘too educated’ and would not allow themselves to be used to commit such a heinous crime.

The group’s spokesperson, Rotimi Olawale, in a telephone interview recently, said he would not agree to claims that the abducted school girls were being used by Boko Haram to carry out suicide bombings in the country.

He said those girls would prefer to go home than engage in suicide bombing if given the opportunity to leave the camp.

“We will take such reports with a pinch of salt because there is no evidence to prove that the Chibok girls are being used to carry out suicide bombings. I don’t believe any of the girls would be involved in such a thing because they are too educated to allow themselves to be used to commit such crimes.

“No investigation by security agencies have shown that the Chibok girls are involved in suicide bombings, so I don’t believe the reports that the girls may be involved,” Olawale said.
