The Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government Area of Oyo State, Alhaji Wasiu Olatunbosun, has said the 33 local government areas of the state will mobilise voters at the grassroots to ensure the re-election of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in 2015 general elections.
Speaking with journalists in Ibadan yesterday, he said: “We in the All Progressives Congress (APC) had gone back to the drawing board and I can assure you that what happened in Ekiti will never repeat itself in APC again.
“Although Senator Ajimobi has done a lot of laudable projects that can speak for him and make him a darling of all the electorate in the state, we, the caretaker chairmen, have agreed to mobilise grassroots voters to ensure he beats the opposition with large margin.”
Olatunbosun emphasised that only the Accord Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were visible and could contest with the APC in Oyo State.
He said: “If you look at the two political parties, you will agree with me that Senator Rashidi Ladoja of Accord Party and Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala had ruled this state before and if you study their achievements of eight years, it cannot equal that of Governor Ajimobi, who has just ruled for over three years.
“We in the APC are not worried about the opposition. Let them come out, we shall sort everything out at the campaign ground. Thank God, citizens of Oyo State are very knowledgeable. They listen to the programmes or manifestos of all parties. At the end, they will consider our antecedents  and ask questions before casting their voters. And I sincerely believe that Senator Ajimobi will be favoured at the end of the day.”
“In other to achieve this task that is major reason we the caretaker Chairmen in all the 33 Local Government had agreed to mobilise voters from the grassroots to support Senator Ajimobi’s achievements and win in 2015.
“As for me ,wherever I go , I always go with the people of my Local Government ,Ibadan North LG. Easily , we listens to the problems of our people and make sure we address it immediately . I ‘m very sure all my colleagues in other local governments are doing the same thing ,so without missing words APC is on the ground in Oyo State .”
Olatunbosun then advised all muslims to uphold the tenets of islam and make sure the run away from sins and they should always pray for Nigeria to over come corruption and the war of Boko Haram.
