Oruh Ugonna Mary, African Coordinator of the group and her team last week visited OlorunKemi 1, Mosque, Kuje Amuwo, Lagos and presented the items to the faithful..
They include; bags of rice, loaves of bread, cartons of Indomie noodles, toilet rolls and drinks.
Receiving the gifts on behalf of the mosque, Alhaji Fatai Ashimolowo, said: “ We appreciate the kind gesture of The Life Changers Group for remembering us during this period of our fasting. We pray that God Almighty will reward and honour you abundantly. We urge them to continue to extend happiness and joy to Muslims not just during the fasting period alone, but also other times during the year.
A woman identified as Sadiat, commended the group for the donation. She urged them not to relent on what they are doing but they should do more.
Leader of the delegation, Mary, said: “The Life Changers Group is a Non-Governmental Organisation that gives succour to the less-privileged in the society and also provide financial freedom to individuals who join the group. The NGO membership is open to people, it has helped us to generate funds to help the less-privileged.
“We also have The Life Changers group where we execute so many projects like visiting hospitals to pay for the bills of indigent patients. We also reach out to school children whose parents cannot afford to pay their fees.
Right now, as our Muslim brothers are fasting and we have been able to go to various mosques to give them food.
“ Today, we donated food items to the Muslims in this area, which is to support them in their fasting and my message to them is that they should join The Life Changers Group, so that they could have financial freedom and also support the less-privileged.
If you have an individual that is suffering, as a member, you can refer that person to the NGO and we will help them financially.
There was a child that was given birth to without anus. A member referred him to the NGO, and we picked the bills for the operation which was successful. Also, a young boy with catarract needed some funds for an operation which his parents could not afford, so he was referred to us and we stepped in.
I encourage Nigerians to join The Life Changers Group so that they can help the indigent.
Also the group Life Changers Group has an orphanage home in Festac Town, located at 7th Avenue, AA Close, House 6. The home was established this year and we have a number of children there.
Our NGO is not established to enrich ourselves rather, we raise funds from members to take care of the children in the home. It is not enriching ourselves, but improving the lives of the poor.
We urge corporate organizations and individuals to visit the home and support some of our projects,” she said.
