Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore has promised that gainful employment aand wealth creation will be given pride of place in his administration.
Speaking at Iragbiji in Boripe Local Government Area  Omisore said job creation should be made attractive to job seekers in terms of remuneration and allowance.
He, however, condemned the present OYES employment programme created by the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s administration in which graduates are paid stipends and made to carry do menial jobs like sweeping and cutting grass, maintaining that it was too demeaning for graduates to be engaged in such jobs that cannot be described as gainful employment.
The candidate said he had consulted widely before coming up with his 8-point agenda that would alleviate poverty and bring democracy dividends to the doorsteps of the people.
Omisore said the artisans, market men and women and other categories would benefit from the empowerment scheme that has already started with the Omisore Youth Support Forum, adding that more aged people would benefit from the program.
“On assumption of office, I will change the OYSF empowerment program to Osun State Empowerment Program so that everybody will benefit from the scheme irrespective of your political affiliation and leaning,”Omisore said.
