Finnish PM says EU military support for Ukraine not possible

(HELSINKI, Finland)
Finland Prime Minister Alexander Stubb, said on Monday in Helsinki, that the European Union (EU) and NATO are unable to give military support to Ukrainian troops fighting pro-Russian separatists.
He said this has become impossible because, it was a known fact the NATO under its principle of operations only gave military help to its members, while the EU does not have the capacity to give such support.
“The EU has signed an association agreement with Ukraine, that is the soft force that the EU uses, “he said.
Stubb said the call by the Ukraine’s foreign minister on NATO and the EU to provide military support was not possible.
He said both parties cannot come up with a new strategy towards Kiev to help soothe the four-month conflict.
