A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, O k e c h u k w u Aneke, has advised the people of Enugu State not to be distracted by political jobbers, whose aim is to disrupt the peace and good democratic ideals the PDP has established in the state.
His advice came as a result of series of crisis rocking the party, which affected the ward congress last Saturday.
He described peace and good governance, which had existed in the state as signals of the overwhelming support the present administration of Governor Sullivan Chime, had enjoyed.
Aneke, a state House of Assembly aspirant for the Udi South Constituency in the 2015 general elections, at the inauguration of the Gburugburu Total Support Group, aimed at drumming support for the PDP consensus candidate, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for the governorship election.
He said the choice of Ugwuanyi was based on his track record of service and total commitment to the principles and advocacy of the PDP.
Aneke thanked Governor Chime and the people of the state for choosing Ugwuanyi as the party’s consensus candidate.
On his political aspiration, Aneke said his coming into politics was based on the clarion call and prayers from his constituency for him to run for the Udi South at the state House of Assembly.
He urged the people of Udi South Constituency not to lose hope, saying all they lost would be restored if voted into power even as he thanked them for their endorsement and support.
