Akwa Ibom, highest contributor to sovereign wealth fund

Akwa Ibom State is said to have been the highest contributor to Sovereign Wealth Fund  in the country for 2013.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Investment Authority (NSIA), Mr. Uche Orji, stated this during a courtesy call on Governor Godswill Akpabio in Uyo  on Friday.
Orji, who said they were in the state to partner the state government and invest in the state as well as be a part of the uncommon transformation of Governor Akpabio, hinted  that the authority invests in real estate, agriculture, power and seaport, among others.
In his response, Governor Akpabio said the state has an available perimeter of investments for investors, remarking: “Investors are welcomed to the state to invest in any area of their choice because Akwa Ibom State has an available perimeter of investments for investors.
According to him: “We have made remarkable achievements in the last seven years of my administration and we have reaped the dividends of democracy.”
