A National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ambassador Ahmed Wali, yesterday arrived Osun State for the supervision of the August 9 governorship election.
A press statement issued by the Chief Public Affairs Officer of the commission in Osogbo, Mrs Adenike Tadese, indicated that the deployment was to enhance transparency and fairness during the election.
According to the statement, Wali was received by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, and the management team of the commission.
