It was for this reason of carnage, massacre, pogrom and genocide
unleashed on the people of Eastern Nigeria(now Biafrans) and the
bestality by which they were perpetrated that compelled them to seek a
separate state from Nigeria.
Inspite of the worthy reason for denouncing Nigeria, many government within and without Africa, the UN and AU found it reasonable to militate against Eastern Nigerians from having a separate state called Biafra where they will be safe from every menace of conspiracy, intent and attempts to annihilate them by aiding and abetting Nigeria war against Biafra.
Thus, Biafra was subverted but not crushed. Since the subversion of Biafra in 1970, the conspiracy to annihilate the Biafrans has continued covertly via periodic massacres and has escalated recently with the Northern criminal institution called "boko haram".
Events in Nigeria has perpetually vindicated Biafrans cry of genocide and injustice. The support that Nigeria received to fight against Biafra has infact been refuted.
