JONATHAN MEANS WELL FOR NIGERIA - Says ‪#‎Orji_Uzor_Kalu‬


      Condoles with president over sister’s death
Business mogul and former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has stated that the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration is yielding positive results in various sectors of the economy.
He also commiserated with the president over the death of his younger sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei, who passed away on Sunday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Giving his assessment of the Jonathan government, Kalu explained that in spite of the security challenges facing the nation, the economic management team deserved commendation for initiating policies aimed at driving the local economy.
Speaking at a private luncheon with his colleagues of Harvard University Advanced Management Program (AMP) 153 at Charterhouse, London at the weekend, Kalu noted that the privatisation of government-owned companies was not only the best economic decision, but was to the utmost advantage of Nigerians.
In another development, Kalu expressed his condolences to President Jonathan over the death of his younger sister, Mrs. Jonathan–Olei.
Kalu, in a condolence message, said: “It is with heavy heart and pain that I write to commiserate with Mr. President over the demise of his beloved younger sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei. She was a source of inspiration to the womenfolk. Our prayers and thoughts are with the first family at this sorrowful period. God Almighty in His infinite mercies will give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
The former governor noted that Mrs. Jonathan-Olei lived a good life that was dedicated to the service of God and mankind.
Kalu urged the president to take solace in the fact that the deceased was a virtuous and selfless woman, who contributed to the growth of her community.
The former governor prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
