Massive Crowd Attends Zamfara PDP’s Rally

Despite the laudable projects executed by the governor of Zamfara State, Abubakar Yari including rural and urban roads, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday pulled an amazing crowd of party supporters.
The PDP organised a grand rally in the state capital Gusau to flag-off its campaign and also present the party’s flag to candidates seeking for various political offices in the forthcoming general elections.
The former governor of the state Alhaji Mamuda Aliyu Shinkafi, who is now the party’s governorship flag bearer warns politicians, including members of his party to keep away from manipulating religion to deceive the electorate to avoid causing disaffection and crisis in the country.
He observed that religious manipulation in politics, and emphasising ethnicity as campaign tools, would only generate more heat “in our aspirations for a united country and the nation’s development.”
While urging Nigerians to vote-for only credible personalities with good track records, Shinkafi blamed the APC led state administration under Governor Yari Abubakar for the rot in the health and education sectors in the state.
“When I left in 2011, we had about 140 medical doctors working in the state but sadly presently we have less than 40 doctors as a result of the rot in the sector. In the education sector, the story is same,” he said.
Those who spoke at the event include the minister of state Finance, Amb. Bashiru Yuguda.
The Minister of Special Duties, Barrister Tanimu Turaki, former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, Dr Haliru Bello and others.
