Eagles test might against USA

Stephen Keshi will have a final look at his Super Eagles’ squad for the World Cup in Brazil when the Nigerian team engages its United States’ counterpart, later tonight, in the last tune-up international match for both sides ahead of the World Cup that kicks off on Thursday, June 12. The Nigerian team showed promise against Scotland in a recent inter national friendly in London coming from behind to force a 2-2 draw. But the Eagles were anything but convincing in their last warm-up game against World Cup-bound side, Greece, on Tuesday with a barren draw that left Keshi pondering over the readiness of his charges for the challenge in Brazil. “It’s a game we should have won easily but here we are not playing to our style. We play possession football and press the opposition to give up but we didn’t do that till towards the end of the game but it’s part of the learning curve and we will get there before the World Cup starts” Keshi assured. Against the United States tonight, Keshi expects the Super Eagles to be more cohesive and display a winning attitude to reassure Nigerians of an impressive outing in Brazil.
