The source who would not want his name mentioned said an eagle-eyed military personnel spotted a teenage girl approaching them and from a distant told her to stop and raise her hands up after firing severally in the air.
She was thereafter searched and a suicide vest was found on her prompting her immediate arrest.
Two female suicide bombers had earlier detonated explosives in Kano during the Sallah festivities killing 5 people and injuring scores.
With this latest development it is apparent that the terrorists have now devised a new means of using young girls for their heinous crimes.
Residents of Maiduguri and Jere have been forced to a low-key Sallah celebrations following the restriction of vehicles by military authories since Sunday. Vehicles are expected to start plying our roads as from tomorrow, Wednesday.
Pls, we should be vigilante and report every suspecious characters and movements to the nearby security personnel.
