2015: Lawmaker vows to win Edo North for PDP

As politicians gear up for the 2015 general elections, a member of the House of Representatives representing Etsako Federal Constituency, Momoh Abubakar, has vowed to rout the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo North if he emerges as the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the zone.
Momoh, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made the vow when he paid a courtesy call to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Benin to intimate the party leadership of his intention to contest the senatorial election on the platform of the party.
The federal legislator, who was accompanied on the visit by party stalwarts, led by the former deputy chairman of APC in the state, Alhaji Usman Shagadi, commended the PDP leadership for its selfless efforts in turning around the party’s fortune and assured that the APC in Edo North would soon collapse by the time his supporters who were still in the party defected to the PDP to support his senatorial ambition.
Momoh stated that his achievements in the House of Representatives and vast legislative experiences would work in his favour during the election.
