Fayose’s Victory: End Of APC Rule In South West

Maku
Information minister, Mr Labaran Maku has described PDP Ekiti State governor-elect, Ayo Fayose’s victory in last Saturday’s election as the beginning of the end of APC’s rule in the south west.
Maku made the statement yesterday while addressing supporters of PDP in Nasarawa Eggon LGA, Nasarawa State, where he said the PDP has repositioned to capture all the states in the 2015 general election.
“The victory of the PDP in the just-concluded governorship election in Ekiti State has marked the beginning of the end of APC rule in some states of the Federation. Wherever they hold broom, count it in 2015 they will be defeated because PDP has come back alive.
“When some people left PDP, I told them that people should not cry that PDP was losing weight to gain strength. When you are over-weight, doctor will tell you to reduce weight so that you will be stronger. Today, that bad tissue that was in our system, we removed it. Now PDP is winning election everywhere,” he stated.
Mr. Maku therefore charged PDP supporters in Nasarawa State to remain steadfast in their support for the PDP to enable the party reclaim the state from the opposition APC in 2015 and return it to the path of sustainable development.
He enjoined the youth to take the lead in the campaign for the victory of the PDP in 2015, because the Agenda of the party holds the key to their empowerment and development.
“So youth, 2015 is your year, establish a governor in Nasarawa State and if you work harder, definitely, we will change Nasarawa State. All those jobs they denied you, they will return back to you,” Mr. Maku remarked.
The Minister was optimistic that under the PDP, Nasarawa State would be a state of reckoning in the North Central, where peace and development would thrive.
