2015: PDP won’t go into alliance with LP to win Ogun –Kashamu

Chairman, Mobilisation and Organisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West, Prince Buruji Kashamu, yesterday said the party does not need any alliance with the Labour Party (LP) to win the 2015 general elections in Ogun State.
He spoke against the backdrop of a rumoured alliance with the LP in the state under the leadership of the former governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Speaking in Ijebu-Igbo, his hometown after distributing over 200 bags of rice to the residents to mark Eid-el-Fitr, Kashamu said PDP did not have such a plan.
His words: “We don’t need any alliance with LP or any other party in Ogun State before we can win because we have done our homework very well and have put our house in order to win.”
“Let me make this categorical statement without any fear of contradiction that PDP will not work with LP for the governorship and the presidential elections. Let each party test its popularity and strength before the electorate.”
On the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Osun, Kashamu expressed optimism that the PDP would win in the state convincingly.
“I appeal to the Osun people that  If they want progress for the state, they should vote for PDP, because that is the only way to progress and prosperity,” he said.
