2015: APGA strategises for victory

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra Central Senatorial District has mapped out necessary strategies to ensure victory for the party in the 2015 general elections.
Addressing a meeting of stakeholders, the Chairman of APGA Forum in the senatorial zone, Chief Emeka Onuorah, said the party would spare no effort to ensure that it recorded victory in the elections.
He stated, however, that the party would not field a presidential candidate for the elections based on the understanding it had with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said: “Every loophole must be plugged to ensure that we do not lose any election in the senatorial district.”
Onuorah, who is also the chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, explained that the organisation was a complementary body aimed at strengthening APGA, and would not, in any way, be in opposition to the party’s officials at any level.
He warned that any elected APGA official, who failed to encourage intending members in the rural communities to register with the party, would be shown the way out.
The chairman urged all the stakeholders to strive to increase the numerical strength of the party in their respective areas. He commended Governor Willie Obiano for his good work in the state, which he said, would help to endear APGA to the electorate.
He said: “There is no doubt that the governor’s good work will help to endear APGA in the minds of the people and help us to ensure victory at the poll.”
