KILLING: 6 Arrested Over Deaths Of 2 Navy, Army

No fewer than six people have been arrested in connection with the killing of one navy and one army officers in Apapa area of Lagos State.
LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that an army officer went to a night club on Payne Crescent with his girlfriend, on Tuesday, but the bouncers at the gate refused her entry on grounds that she is not a soldier.
The bouncers insisted that the female who wore camouflage knickers should pay gate fee.
A police sergeant attached to Area ‘B’ Apapa police command disclosed that there was heated argument among the soldier, girlfriend and the bouncers which attracted a navy officer to the scene.
On hearing that the woman is not a soldier, the navy officer condemned the action of allowing her wear the uniform. The officer who identified himself to the army officer was said to have supported the idea that the woman should pay gate fee.
His speech angered the lover man who allegedly pulled his Jack knife and stabbed the officer to death.
The news of the killing of the officer was said to have filtered into the ears of navy personnel who raced to the scene and in turn killed the army man.
People in the area were said to have scampered into hiding as the angry military men carried out the action.
