The Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Oko,  Anambra State, Dr. Azubike Odukwe, has tasked the members of  staff of the institution on capacity development, urging them not to be static in their academic qualifications.
Odukwe gave the charge at a workshop organized by the OkoPoly  chapter of the Senior Staff Association of Universities, Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions (SSAUTHRIAI). He urged members of staff to avail themselves of the numerous opportunities put in place by the management of the polytechnic for capacity building.

She continued: “The union, by this workshop, would reorient the senior administrative workforce to hone their skills or what they should possess to excel in their duties. It is also our contribution in the propagation of human resource elements towards concretization of the transformation agenda of the present administration”.
She commended the management of the institution led by Prof. Godwin Onu for his vision of transforming the polytechnic through enhanced staff welfare and development.
In his presentation, former Registrar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Chief Tim Umeasiegbu, explained the principles and practice of writing minutes of meetings and reminded the participants that anybody could be called on to cover a meeting as secretary.
