The youths who made the promise yesterday at a press briefing in Enugu also warned politicians in the state who are dropping the name of their organisation to score cheap political goals to desist from such acts.
The Director General of Enugu State Youth Agenda, Mr Temple Chinedu Chika, who led other members of the group to the briefing, said that they would no longer take it kindly with any politician in the state who cunningly tries to ride on their back without their permission.
“May we use this opportunity to alert the public against the activities of mischief-makers whose character is to reap where they did not sow.
It has come to our notice that some desperate politicians have planned to score cheap political points by stealing our name for their selfish ends. We warn some men with such ignoble intentions as the consequences will be grave,” the group said.
The group, which is supported by the state chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, pointed out that Governor Chime had run a life-changing administration that has touched the lives of the youths in the state.
