The Chairman of the Council, Mr Hector Nnadi, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja .
Nnadi said the collaboration would help the minister to consolidate achievements of his predecessor.
He said there was the need for synergy between the minister and workers’ leadership for the development of the aviation sector.
“As for the industry and the union, we expect consolidation. We expect that he begins to consolidate on what his processor had achieved because governance is a continuous process.
“It is obvious to everybody that the past minister, Princess Stella Oduah, changed the face of the aviation industry, she put in place giant strides that need to be consolidated.
“There must be that continuous interface between the minister and leaders of the labour union in the sector to unable us know the direction the minister wants to go.
“So, there is the need for a synergy between the minister and the labour leaders to ensure that his objectives for the sector are achieved.
“I want the new minister not to follow the bureaucratic way to deal with issues. He should establish a personal relationship with the workers.”
Nnadi urged the minister to address the challenge of training and retraining of the workforce in the ministry.
“If we are not well trained, we are liable to make mistakes. There is the need for us to update our knowledge of the sector. (NAN)
