Desertification: Katsina Employs 100 Youths For Tree Planting

No fewer than 100 youths have been employed by the Katsina State government for planting and nursing of trees in 34 local government areas of the state.
Governor Ibrahim Shema disclosed this at the launching of tree planting exercise held in the state, and said the measure was part of effort to fight desertification in the state.
He added that his government would not shirk from its responsibilities of combating desertification and ensuring conducive environment for the citizenry.
