JONATHAN SACKS ALL RESIDENT DOCTORS
President Goodluck Jonathan has directed all Chief Medical Directors (CMDs) and Medical Directors of all federal government owned hospitals and health institutions to issue letters terminating the appointment of all resident doctors in training. This is contained in a circular signed by the permanent secretary ministry of health and dated 13th August, 2014. This directive is with immediate effect.

I FEEL THE PRESIDENT HAS DONE THE RIGHT THING. WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO HAVE A COLLECTION OF CAPITALIST SEEKING FINANCIAL GAINS, WHILE THE NATION IS IN THE GRIP OF GRIEVOUS DISEASE. WHERE IS THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH AND ITS ESSENCE? THIS ACTION WILL GO A LONG WAY IN SHEDDING THE FINANCIAL BURDEN BEEN BORNE BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN SERVICING THESE SOMETIMES, UNGRATEFUL AND SELF-CONCEITED DOCTORS.
