The Commissioner for Police Lagos State Command, Mr Umar Manko paraded Mmuojekwu before journalists at the police headquarters, in Ikeja, yesterday.
Manko said investigations revealed that the lovers met in Ghana and dated until the love went sour and Mmuojekwu strangled Chukwudube, a mother of four children.
Manko said the suspect visited the victim on July 18 and on July 19, he murdered her and escaped with her Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), her mobile phones and other valuables.
The police boss said the suspect deceived the security man that the woman sent him to drive the car and withdraw money from the bank with her ATM.
He said it was after the security man waited for several hours without seeing the woman that he called her brother on phone.
He said they had to climb a ladder and peeped through the window and saw the lifeless body of the woman on the floor, with foam gushing out from her eyes and nose.
